With his new book “Tropiques” Julien Coquentin further explores some of the themes that are dear to him: childhood, family, territory and otherness.
He created his new series while staying on the island of La Réunion where he was as a nurse. During the two years he spent there with his wife and three children, he took photos and wrote texts, considering that photography and writing are two sides of a similar creative process.
