나비 등은 성충이 되기 위한 번데기화 과정에서 유충의 조직 대부분이 분해되는 반면, 반대로 유충기에는 휴면 상태로 미분화되어 있던 성충의 설계도를 지닌 원기세포(Imaginal Cells)가 급속히 증식하기 시작함으로써 성충으로서의 구조가 형성된다.
프랑스를 거점으로 활동하는 비주얼 아티스트이자 Zoopark Publishing의 공동 창립자인 그녀의 드로잉에서는 이러한 이미지의 용해와 재생성 과정을 엿볼 수 있다.
이 작품은 카세트 테이프의 플라스틱 케이스에 담겨 있어 크기는 작지만, 70페이지 분량으로 구성되어 있다.

In the case of butterflies and similar insects, during the pupation process leading to adulthood, whilst most of the larval tissue is broken down, the adult body’s structure is formed as imaginal cells—which had remained undifferentiated and dormant during the larval stage but contain the blueprint for the adult form—begin to proliferate rapidly.
Her drawings—created by this France-based visual artist and co-founder of Zoopark Publishing—reveal this very process of the dissolution and regeneration of imagery.
Housed in a plastic cassette tape case, this work is small in size but comprises 70 pages.
